SOCIAL JUSTICE

David has been a longtime supporter of reproductive rights, and in 2021, signed an amicus brief in support of legal abortion in Dobbs v. Women’s Health Organization, the Supreme Court case that was likely to decide the future of reproductive freedom in the United States. The brief, signed by 897 state legislators, including

Representative David Linsky, represents the strongest showing ever recorded of state legislators supporting legal abortion nationwide. David frequently co-signs bills in the House of Representatives that expand protections for reproductive rights and gender-affirming care, expanding State abortion access, and many other bills on equality in the State of Massachusetts.

David is committed to the fight for equality and he advocates for rights for all of his constituents. Healthcare equality across the board, reproductive rights, and marriage equality are all topics that David is incredibly supportive of and passionate about advocating for as a member of the House of Representatives.

Pictured: Representative Linsky was recognized in April 2024 for his work 20 years ago in making Massachusetts the first state in the nation to recognize equal marriage, along with many other legislators including Representative Sarah Peake.

Representative Linsky has spent his career advocating for equal treatment of everyone. He is incredibly proud of his role leading the fight for the passage of marriage equality in 2004, making Massachusetts the first in the nation to legalize equal marriage. He continues to be an advocate for equal rights in the legislature, regardless of religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability.
